We are interested in purchasing an ultra lightweight RV such as a Fun Finder, Hi-Lo, or Casita. We will be towing it with a Dodge Grand Caravan, 3.3 liter. It's my wife, our 9 month old, and a small chihuahua. Has anyone had any experience with the smaller RV's, and would you recommend any particular brand? Thanks.

You are well advised to keep things light.  The 2005 numbers for Dodge Caravan 3.3L show a tow rating of 3800 lbs and a overall gross combined weight rating of 7500 lbs.

The real clue is the floorplan that you like and the facilities you need.  Check them over at shows and dealers.  With an infant, give serious consideration for a unit in which you can access the facilities while on the road -- in short can you use the toilet and sinks without haveing to extend slideout beds or raise a folding top.  In that the Casita may be your ticket.  Casita owners seem fairly happy with their units.
