Hospitalized After Falls and Weak Legs

How's the hospital food tasting? I've never had a good meal in a hospital.

Last time I fell (except I didn't):

Walking into the Mizpah Hotel's lobby in Tonopah. NV last summer. Going from the bright sunlight to the darkened casino floor (on my way to the restaurant) I didn't see the step down and stumbled forward. I amazed myself with how fast I could make my legs work to get them back under me and avoid falling on my face, although it took several steps to regain my balance.

I actually fell last night while watching a fireworks show. No injury except for being embarrassed. But I've noticed every year I need more light to see well. I don't have trouble with my balance but I do trip over things more often in the dark.

Things are not going well. I punctured a lung and it is not healing. I am headed for surgery to try to fix the leak. Can't eat or drink and I am starved.

You should have seen the look on the nurses face when she told me no more food and water till the operation is done.

If you ate before surgery you’d probably end up aspirating your lunch while unconscious. Never done it but I assume it’s unpleasant and probably life threatening. Since you don’t have In-&-Out in Florida I feel confident in saying no cheeseburger is worth that risk. That nurse will probably remember you for a long time.
