Hi, we have a fifth wheel that the house batteries run down to nothing in no time at all. Can anybody give me any suggestions, what to look for to see what the possible problem could be?

How old are they? Are they on a trickle charger when not on shore power? Have you taken them to your local auto parts store to get them tested?

Too many unknowns. Old/abused batteries don't have much to give. Large or persistent loads deplete any battery. A battery not properly charged won't have energy to deliver. So figuring out the issue will come down to ensuring proper charge, then observing how they behave when operating into known loads.

First question is what batteries do you have? Basic battery purchase choice is high cranking (CCC), marine, or deep cycle.

House batteries provide 12V power to the coach, thus they need the ability to release 12V power over time. The amount of time is measured by reserved capacity (RC) or amp hours (Ah).

Hi all and thanks for your prompt replies. It ended up being the converter and we’ve got it taken care of but thank you for all your advice! Next time I’ll try to be more concise with my problem.😀

Everything has a learning curve. You can click on your screen name, top right of the page, then click signature. There you can list your details, like brand, year, model of your RV and other such pertinent information.
For example, read my and other members signature information.
Welcome aboard!!
