How are you using AI tools?

I managed to find the lyrics and chords to a song I like. It was a jumble of words in text with the chords listed as an afterthought. I was looking at an hour of texting editing, at the least.

This a.m. I copied the text and went to Chatgpt told it to format in SongBook Pro format and then pasted the text. Voila - perfect! Then Chatgpt asked ME if I wanted it formatted with the chords coupled with the lyrics... Voila! I then asked Chatgpt to move the chords above each line for easier playing and to create a download in .CHO format for import to SPB- Holy Moly!!!! From there, I imported into SoundBook Pro and have the song added to my collection. Maybe took five minutes and next time I'll make my request clearer and include all the extra steps as one cogent instruction...

I'm hooked and ready to take my old text-only songs and get them all straightened out.

A great example of a creative use of a powerful tool! Thanks for sharing as it may well give others a better sense of what bots like ChatGPT can do. Different altogether than a powerful search tool.

As a follow-up. My Daughter found a tape I made of me playing guitar and singing in the 80's made an .ma4 from the cassette tape. I barely remember the words, let alone the chords. Sooo... I loaded it into Chatgpt and told it to extract the words and chords and after a few iterations, download as an .CHO file.

Chatgpt complained about the background noise, quality of the recording and others things, but I forgave Chatgpt regarding it's complaints and ended up with a pretty good approximation of my original - with a few words changed which I will accept... just got finished playing the result on the keyboard - hey! I've got a hit (in my life) and here's what Chatgpt thinks I'd have looked like using a current photo (pardon the current gray hair). I think I found a new toy = AI.

Until they can figure out how to police it, I believe the negatives will far outweigh the positives.

I've used AI for creation of graphics for personal use and for illustrations for talks at our church as well as other graphics projects. You certainly do have to watch things. I remember in the earlier days of AI if people were involved in the graphics, frequently you'd have a person with six fingers on their hand, or an oddly-placed ear. I don't see that much these days, but caution is still recommended.

Credit where credit is due - when it gets it right, it can be absolutely amazing.

I use CoPilot to enhance photos and to assist me with drafting documents as needed. I even do a little fictional writing to see how it does.

You don't need to be super detailed with any instructions, but you do need the basic information on what you expect to see, then be able to review and add content or enhancements as step 2.
