How much are a dozen eggs where you live?

The part about being chased by cops while driving go karts and riding motor bikes, brought back fond memories of my teen age years. :gathering:
FWIW Mom used to make a custard for us by separating an egg yolk or two from the egg whites, adding some sugar and whipping it in a cup for a quick breakfast.
Don't remember what she did with the egg whites.

Safe travels and all the best.
Yes my grandmother would do something the sa.e. if your ma was a big baker she used them for certain cakes in a couple days.

Yes sir. I had anything with a motor. We had a body shop and a Mac custom shop so somehow I'd end up with all kinds of toys. My may hated my pop coming home and saying to get something of his truck or my grandfather calling for me to pick up something at his shop.
I miss those days greatly, for all kinds of reasons. My first car, 14, my pop brought me home a silver Trans AM. Yes my ma blew a gasket - I loved to race. We had an abandoned airport near by. Oh the joy.
I'm getting all tight in the belly just thinking of them 😂

God yeah. Your bringing back memories. (y)
All the best.

Same.
Bought the go-cart when they were building the shopping center. Lots of blacktop. We had a blast.
Once the stores opened we quickly attracted Barney Fife. Fond memories indeed.

Something I just learned about eggs that I thought was interesting:

"If you’re in the United States, finding eggs stored at room temperature in a store might make you panic. But in much of Europe and Asia, that’s the standard.

The difference comes down to regulations: the U.S. requires eggs to be washed, which removes a protective coating, so refrigeration is necessary.
In Europe, eggs retain their coating, meaning they’re safe to sit out on a shelf."

More about refrigerated eggs here. Perhaps good for 45 days. You can usually safely ignore the expiration date on the egg carton.

Unwashed eggs (European style) can last three weeks at normal room temperature, around half as long.

But unwashed eggs (not available in any stores in the USA) in the refrigerator can last several months, the longest of all.

So can I, but my cholesterol reading says I shouldn't.
Maybe you can have your 50 eggs in seven weeks time. See here.

"Most healthy people can eat up to seven eggs a week without increasing their risk of heart disease. "

I have a two or three eggs every morning. I have been doing it for countless years.

Cholesterol is a vital component of every cell membrane in the body, and it is especially abundant in the brain, which contains about 25% of the body’s total cholesterol. In the brain, cholesterol is essential for:
Neuron function
Synapse formation
Neurotransmitter activity
Prevents cognitive decline

Don't take statins. They cross the blood/brain barrier and deplete cholesterol in your noggin.

Those 3 eggs per day must be why I am so brainy.:)

I am now at the Gold Ranch Restaurant in Verdi, NV, having my 3-egg veggie omelet as I get a free charge on my 2017 Zero SR electric motorcycle--on my way to Auburn, CA to get my junky Y2K RV ready for the trip in a few days.

I'll probably have a 3 egg omelet tomorrow. I plan on Carnitas tacos tonight and I usually use the left over carnitas with some onions, cilantro and cheese in an omelet the next morning. Think I have some O'Brien potatoes in the freezer to have on the side.
Also starting to prep my rig for the trip back to Arkansas. Going to spend a couple of days camped at the repair shop in town to get the brakes on the RV serviced, and then homeward bound. I have to be back there by the 18th of Nov for a Dr's visit.

Sunday ; ALL the leftovers get fried up in the pan then extra sharp chedder sprinkled all over toped with 5 eggs and then the massive hot sauce shake followed by the lid to finish the prosses of melting and eggs cooking.
Such a delite .

Anybody that has/had laying chickens knows this.
we get fresh eggs from my sister in law who has a bunch of laying hens. they are not washed but we store in the fridge anyway. they cook up much yellower than store bought.
