I want to send the contents of the current "Chet Parks" thread to Laurie Parks, who is not on the forum. I could copy and paste each individual post, but is there a better way to get it all into a Word document or PDF file to send to Laurie?

I have an idea. If you go to the first entry where the thread starts and you copy the address at the top of your screen. On mine, (aol) it starts with https://www.rvforum.net/threads/(subject line.)

I will try it and send it to myself and see if it works...be right back

Back: It works it sent me to this post. You need to use the address from your first post about Chet, otherwise Laurie will have to scroll up to the start.

This is an example of the one I used for my post on Chet.

Chet Parks

((Chet Parks))

I had to put the end (( )) on the address to display it because the RV forum software automatically converts the address to a link.

Edit: Even with the (( )) it still converted it to a link.

((https ://www. rvforum. net/threads /chet-parks .135320/#post-1250679))

I had to fool the automatic link by putting some spaces in the address to get it to display. Good luck if you have trouble we will help you but it is fairly simple.

Second Edit.

I am not sure if this will work but I copied the thread into PDF. It is in three files, page 1A, 1B, and page 2.

Jeannine, Maybe you could email these to her.

They are attached below.

The funny thing is that I make more money being retired than I did when I worked.
You know, I've found that too. After all that time scraping to raise 5 boys, it's strange to be able to buy something without having to hoard pennies for a year first.

I also don't understand how I actually has the time to go to work. Just keeping an RV in service is a demanding job.

It’s funny you talk about pennies. We started saving pennies around 2004. At the end of the day if we had any in our pocket, we put them in a big plastic jar we had. I just cashed them in the other day. We had $117.17 worth of pennies. Thankfully my bank had a counting machine and I didn’t have to roll them by hand.

I have a couple of those banks about the size of a quart mason jar that you could buy at Walmart that are supposed to count the change as you drop it in. The counting function didn't work worth a darn(counted dimes as pennies, etc)so one is strictly silver and one is pennies only. The silver one is almost full, the penny one about 3/4. One of these days I'll take it to the bank, but I use the silver occasionally when I'm at a park with no sewer hookup to do laundry.

My jar was for I think animal crackers like you’d buy at BJ’s or Sam’s Club. It’s about 12” tall and 8” dia. Lots of pennies

You could use the Print button in your browser to capture the thread and, in the print dialog, save it as a pdf instead of actually printing.

Banks that have them are getting far and few between.

We still have one bank in town that has one.

Used to take coffee cans full of change to the casino an hour away. Don't know if casinos still do that?

You didn't have to gamble there to cash them in, which was good, cuz we are cheap and gambling on the tables and slots did not impress us.

Plenty of other day to day gambles to take.

Now I know why most businesses are asking people to use credit/debit cards due to coin shortage.
