Members agree that you generally cannot look up trailer wheel bearings or electric brake replacement parts online using just the VIN. Instead, the most reliable method is to identify the axle’s weight rating (such as 3,500 lbs), which determines standard bearing sizes across brands like Dexter and Lippert. For brakes, you’ll need to remove the drum to check if you have self-adjusting brakes and to measure the shoe width and drum diameter. Many RVers recommend buying complete brake assemblies... Hi everyone, Does anyone know if there is a way to look up wheel bearings and electric brake replacement parts online using vin number?

For a trailer I suppose........... No, there is not. If you know the "weight" axle, such as 3500 lb, the bearings are standard between brands (Dexter or Lippert). Brakes, you have to pull the drums so you can determine if you have self adjusting or not. Many people simply buy all new assemblies, that include the magnets, shoes, parts and backing plates, all pre assembled. You need to know the shoe width and the drum diameter.

I will attach a wheel bearing chart, HOWEVER you need to pull one hub or drum/hub and get the bearing numbers from there. My chart will show TIMKEN set numbers that correspond to certain bearing and race numbers.

Beware buying Timken parts on Amazon, lots of fakes out there.

You might be able to with the axles serial number.
Check out a company called Brakes For Trailers, that's where I get Dexter OEM parts. They have great customer service too.
