My HWH 610 leveling system slide room stopped extending. Performed the troubleshooting tree in the service manual.
That pointed to replacing the extend solenoid, I did. Ran the room in/out several times to make sure it was working properly, but after the last extend, it would not retract.
I repeated the troubleshooting steps and every step passed. I got under the slide room and went over every step I performed when replacing the extend solenoid, then switched extend and retract solenoids on a whim. No change, room would not retract. I crawled under again and put the solenoids back in their original positions. It was then I noticed the solenoid open/closed lever was in the open position. I flipped it up to the closed position and both directions work as designed.
I'm sure I had that lever in the closed position initially 3 weeks ago, but at 82, being sure doesn't mean what it did 10 years ago. I suspect what happened was, that last extend movement caused the lever to catch on a hydraulic hose beside it and it flipped to the open position.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it_.
