The right rear jack down light on the control panel does not go red when the hydraulic piston rod starts extending. Being lazy, I haven't crawled underneath to see if there is a proximity sensor or such. What causes the light to illuminate on the control panel?

Quick reference guide to HWH leveling system identification.
Links to practically everything you want to know are found on the HWH FAQ page.
Does that particular jack light indicate when it is fully retracted? If not, the reed switch may be faulty. Each jack has this switch either on the side or on the top (depending on model) with 2 wires.
Like-for instance, NEVER put hydraulic jack oil in the system.
