Hwy 101 through California and Oregon

Hello,  we?re planning to go up to Eugene Oregon and hoping to take hwy 101 from the San Francisco area.  Looks like we should take hwy 126 from hwy101 over to Interstate 5.  Has anyone made a trip with a large rig over these roads?  Is there anything we need to be aware of?

I've driven 101 north to Oregon route 126 to Eugene several times driving a 43ft Mh towing a jeep.

Thank you, that?s good to hear.  We will be towing a 97 Jeep Wrangler too.

Have done it about 10 times pulling a toad. On the weekends you are going to see a ton of RV's from Florence on down south as they bring their dune buggies to the ocean. 

You may want to call ahead for reservations in that area.

also all pull over scenic views are not turn around friendly, ask my wife as she pointed out several scenic over views in which we had to unhook toad to get turned around, this was in a vegas 25.4 (27 foot). so scout it out before committing.

Made the drive on hwy 126 out of Florence to Eugene and had absolutely no problems.  Road is in good condition and early in the morning did not have a lot of traffic.
