Anyone travel Hwy 60 from Florence (AZ) thru Globe, Top of the World to Show Low & finally hitting Socorro, NM on I-25? We are traveling in a 40' MH. Conditions & grades??
Thanks!

If you put your route into Google maps then choose cycling you will see the gradient.

Where 60 crosses the Salt River there is a pretty good decent to the river and then a climb back out of the river valley. The road is fine ( or it was 5 years ago). I did it with a 43ft motorhome towing a jeep.

Hey, that's a great idea about using the "cycling" mode on google maps! Thanks Ken & Sheila regarding Salt River - great place to go tubing! Lots of memories on the Salt! :D

This is not a highway I would take with a motorhome.
It also has some very tight curves and steep grades with so overheating may be a concern.

I live on Highway 60. It doesn't go to Florence. It's further north and goes through Florence Junction which is just a wide spot on the road. We have traveled through the Salt River Canyon in a 45 foot motorhome with a toad several times without any issues. Semis go through it constantly. It's a beautiful ride. The rest of the road isn't a problem either.
