I have a major moisture problem!

Humans release a lot of moisture into the atmosphere by just breathing. Add to that moisture from cooking, washing, and bathing, and you can get a LOT of moisture. The only real solution is ventilation. When we had a 27’ trailer, we had to keep the roof vent slightly open 24/7. It increased the heating bill, but it was effective. But as the OP noted, a dehumidifier also increases the bills.
The average adult human emits approx. 2 cups of water a day, IMO that's a lot of added moisture.
 
Knob, then please expand on your "depends"... You leave it up to us to draw our own conclusion from reading that link and what I got out of it muddied the OPs situation.
I was referring to specifically whether a gas furnace adds or removes humidity from the air in the heated space. It depends on a number of things, including the design of the furnace itself, the source of the combustion air, and how well sealed the heated space is, as the article explains.
