Looks like we will be upgrading our driver?s licenses to Class B.

Anyone taken this test (written and driving) and can give me details on what to expect?

I find tons of info on the CDL exams, but nothing on the Non-CDL.

Thanks, Tom

I can not answer your question, but may I suggest just go take the test, planning to fail.  You now know what to expect so you can ace it next time.

Several years ago, my folks were visiting us in western Ky.  Dad's driver license was up for renewal, so he drove across the river (12 miles) to the IL  DMV.  He was so impressed by the lack of lines and decent treatment, and time to complete the task, he said he would make a special trip down here for his next renewal.  Unfortunately, that was not necessary.

DW and I took the test and passed. Of course know the answers to the study questions but don't overlook the rest of the book.

Driving test was driving on residential streets where low branches were the biggest challenge. Had to right turn into a driveway (of ample width) and back into the street to head the other way.

DW wants a little more practice before taking the driving test.

All in all no big deal.

Tom
