Hi,
I've encountered weird problem/great design feature? There is a GFI on the outlet on the Inverter (operates only TV's and Sat receiver)  located in the electric bay and it has blown once when I started the Generator and twice during severe storms. This is a minor PITA except for the first time (who would expect the thing to be there) when I spent half an hour finding it. Is this usual operation or do I have a problem?

I think John is right Ernie.  I have the same plug and GFI on my 34Y, and have used the outlet several times with no issues.  However, usually the GFI trips is there is a problem on the line that it is controlling.  You may have an issue with the Inverter that it is tripping itself out.  Or it could be just a weak GFI.  You can change out the plug cheap, and see if that fixes your problem.
