2010 Winn. Vista 26A.  300 Watt inverter mounted in the cabinet below the gas stove. The GFI outlet above the inverter has no power. It previously worked intermittently with difficulty getting the test/ reset to work. The inverter works as it powers the TV. The Test/ Reset unit at the inverter works. No way to get to the inverter without cutting into the cabinet or removing the gas stove.
I plan to install solar and a larger inverter but that is on hold due to the Covid virus.
Thanks for any thoughts or ideas.

First question is whether that outlet is even powered via the inverter. Being physically close doesn't mean much.  If the inverter outlet itself has a GFCI test/reset, there would not be any point in having the outlet also be a GFCI, so chances are that outlet does not get power from the inverter.

A GFCI outlet won't Test or Reset if it has no power, so the most likely problem is a loose wire (intermittent connection).

I agree with Gary and will go one farther.  I'm 99.9% sure the outlet is NOT powered by the 300 watt inverter... 300 watt units are normally JUST for the Entainerment center (TV/Radio/Sat receiver) and in some cases may be sweating (working near limit) at that.

You need a 2,000 watt or at least a 1,500 before they power the GFCI chain as drawing 1500 watts in the kitchen.. Very common.
