Just curious if anyone else has had problems getting service on AAA Rv membership. I have been a member for over 20 years and just got shocked into knowing I had paid membership for no service on being stuck in Kansas. PM me for details
Hate to start being a member on this subject but felt deserted and slapped in the face by them

I had a flat tire at my home this past summer and AAA found someone to come and change it.  However, it took awhile to locate a place that would service RVs. But, of course, I live in a suburb of Minneapolis; not out in the sticks somewhere.

AAA has always been a collection of local clubs under the AAA banner. Some of the local clubs do not even offer RV memberships. These areas tend to have less than perfect service for RV's. You will get service but because the local club does not sell RV memberships they do not seem to have as good a service  network for RV's as RV dedicated clubs (Coachnet, Good Sam etc).  This could possibly be the reason

:-[ :-[ In  DFW area , Texas, AAA won't change a tire on an RV. They will only tow you 50 miles or less. I got this when I checked their membership out. So I am staying w/Good Sam for now. I guess this is anywhere in Texas, not certain.

We had trouble when we got a flat in California. After three different people showed up without the right gear to change a 22 1/2" tire, the third guy made a deal with a local truck shop to come and change the tire. The truck shop didnt want to. He said he had trouble getting paid by AAA in the past. The third tow truck guy made a deal with him, so he came. It took four hours to get a tire changed. We had a spare, just no way to take it off. We do now.

I had an inside rear dual blowout while I was in the middle of California near Los Banos on a Sunday afternoon.

CSAA (AAA)  sent two tow trucks. One replaced the Michelin XRV 22.5" tire and removed all the coach control wires ( tank sensor levels, battery levels, etc).  All the wires pulled off the back of the control panel and wrapped around my axle.

The other really big tow truck towed my coach 70 miles to Fresno where my Workhorse dealer completed $12,000 in repairs.
I paid $100 deductible and the cost of the tire which they brought with them.

I have the Premium RV coverage on my AAA card which covers additional miles for towing.

Another incident that occurred within 10 miles of the tire blowout was covered quite well also.

While traveling across a bridge in Central California a complete tire and wheel came off a pickup truck in front of me.  I was unable to miss it and my right front and rear tires ran over it, rocking the coach severely.

It jammed my leveling jacks up into the bottom of my coach directly under my wife's seat. My toad ran over it ripping out the plastic air dams under the car. Pretty scary.

CSAA  (AAA) paid for alignments on both vehicles and the damage to both coach and car.  The leveling jack and related hoses had to be replaced at a cost of about $1700.

Your AAA roadside service paid forfixing the damage at the repair facility?
We are talking AAA roadside here. Are you perhaps thinking of AAA insurance paid for the repairs (not the subject of this thread)

Couldn't tell you for sure. All I know is that I called AAA and they took care of everything. I have the Premium AAA card and everything I own is covered by them.
