I am replacing the waterpump and carrier barring on my boat mercury outboard engine. I watched a video and the mechanic used mercury 24C grease for new orings and something called T grease for the studs and black silicone for the separater ridge by the waterpump housing.

I found the mercury 24C and i will get some. I have also not found the black silicone he used as he did not specify a brand name, ill keep looking. I never heard of T grease either, but i need an alternative because T grease is $200+ for a small tube.

Here is the MFG link.

I dont doubt T grease is good stuff, it seems to be silicone free and works in a wide range of temperatures, but is there an affordable budget alternative?

Thanks :)
