The strike involves warehouse/dist. cent. workers. Returns are 99% autogenerated, unless there's an issue and even then they try to steer you to a chatbot, humans are not involved.
We get the barcode as soon as we initiate the return on Amazon.com. I then take the item to Kohl’s for a hassle free return.
It is the busiest time of the year for all retail. Meantime, Prime doesn't guarantee when it will be delivered only that you won't have to pay a delivery charge. Some things are 2 day free delivery, but the two day part is not a guarantee. It's also an auto system, meaning it's only as good as the human who may have scanned 3 widgets into locations x, yy, but it was actually 2. The system that promised you 2 day might only know 2 widgets were picked from location x and therefore 1 should be in location yy, when due to the error none are available until the system can get widgets shipped from a regional dist. hub. That might account for a day or two added to your delivery window.
Same here. There's a Kohls just a mile or two away. Don't even have to package it. Just give them the item and the QR code.
Amazon is using some contracted delivery companies. This may be part of the problem. Fedex is the same way.
Sometimes if you choose UPS you have to get a shipping label and box the return yourself so you won't get a QR and you may not notice the box down there where it asks you to select how to send your mailing label. For some reason on certain items where you can just drop it off at Kohls or Whole Foods, etc., you have to box and label it for UPS. Other times it can be dropped at UPS unboxed.
I just looked it up and if you ordered the 100 psi model, you have to wait for a email like you said . But if you ordered the 200 psi model, it says you’ll receive it between 1/4 and 1/9
Amazon routinely uses independent contractors for delivery andvespecially between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Until just this year Amazon was calling it's own delivery drivers contractors, only because they employed them in a type of shell company arrangement where they ( Amazon) could treat them like employees in every way except paying them like employees and providing benefits like regular employees. The NRLB however ruled this year that those drivers are in fact Amazon employees, which now for Amazon is the sticky wicket that when the employees strike or demand fair treatment in the workplace Amazon can't pretend they don't exist.
Got an update later this morning and it said 1/3-1/6. I ordered the 100psi model.
