I am not concerned what the local yokels think, I was wondering 'bout their thoughts, traveling in a country where outsiders are scrutinized more than ever.
We are visitors and are happy to comply with the rules and laws etc. I get annoyed at people who think it's ok to flaunt these and ruin it for everyone else.

We have been subject to a 2nd interview on two occasions previously. I think they were checking that we didn't intend to outstay our welcome, which we would never do. We always have a return flight booked.

If I wanted to stay permanently I would only ever do it through the appropriate and legal process.

The foreign tourists that have been detained have been people who said they might work at their online job from home while in the US, and some backpackers who didn’t have formal plans. The latter is where RVers would need to be cautious. Legal US residents have been picked up on a seemly political issues - they were thought to have protested something ICE wasn’t happy about. As for US citizens who have been detained, the ones I have read about were all shades of brown.

I'm not condoning the current zeit geist, but ingress to the US is not even remotely as scrutinized today as it has been in this nation's past. Ask the Italians, the Chinese, the Irish, the Jewish diaspora from **** Germany in the 30's.
Why the heck would the autobot delete the word ****? It's an actual real life word that is in common use when referring to the skinhead-type Arian cult.

Always use the preview to see if all the words show correctly. If used in a way that breaks no rules, simply put a space in it such as N azi or use N@zi, otherwise it will show fine as you type it but will show as "****" in the preview before it is posted.

I find a lot of common words get blanked out here, so I always use preview before posting.

Context is as important as the symbol, if it's "1930's **** Germany" no one is going to confuse the meaning as "1930's cute Germany". No different from the orthodox Jewish who cannot spell out "God" but instead use G-d, there's no difference in an "o" and a "-" if the same meaning is implied.

And one country (and their people) meddling in/attacking/taking over another country is fine?
I am trying to say this without 'sounding political'.

Me personally - no.

I'm not sure what that has to do with my comment about people who don't want to follow the rules of the places they visit.

And I'm thinking this is all about the current politics which we won't be discussing here.

Yeah, the first time I noticed it was when I used the word 'wristwatch'. I thought it was funny as ****. I see, though, that it's not doing it this time but it did blank out ****.

Yeah, I also first noticed it on the same word, "wristwatch", and I, being a bit naive on such things, I couldn't figure out why, until somebody else here explained it.

I see the new forum SW does not blank out that word. Or somebody changed it.
