Just west of Casa Grande, AZ, on Hwy 84 there is the :

old vintage and classic bikes
IMO, "old vintage and classic bikes" cannot have disc brakes! Like my 1971 BMW.:p:);).

No, but interested in what uou find out!
Okay, that is where I am now. Here at the Wild West RV Park.

It's a cheap place to stay, all dirt, no tables, full hookups. A night=$50.00. A week=$330.00. A month =$600 to $700.00, plus the electricity price if monthly. Some sites are only 30-amps, this one is both 30 & 50 amps.

75 to a hundred per month if you want to store an RV here.

The usual stuff, laundry room (uses quarters), bathhouse, and even an RV Wash.

Somewhat of a dumpy RV park, but it gets the job done. They have a propane tank here so motorhomes can be filled up.

Plenty of large empty spaces here, but there are a few people who live here permanently.

The town section of Maricopa is an easy, fast 12-mile drive directly north of here, where they have everything one could want: a Walmart, lots of restaurants, A Harbor Freight Tool store, EV Charge stations, and much more.

East, around 15 miles, is Casa Grande, a larger town than Maricopa.

Any other questions about this place?

I will take a photo in the daylight sometime tomorrow.

I have been to West Pinal park many times. No hookups. dust/dirt road. Nice secluded spots. Quiet.
Wild West while I have not been there I believe it to be to close to the large, stinky cattle operations of which there are a few in the area. While the wind is predominately out of the west and should keep the smell down, I just do not know if I would chance it
I notice no smells here at the Wild West. I will check out West Pinal in a couple of days. I have other plans for tomorrow.

Not sure I agree with this. I've owned 3 CB750 Hondas, A '75 SOHC and 2 different '79 DOHC bikes. All 3 came from the factory with front disc brakes. I'd consider a 50-year-old bike a classic. Come to think of it, both my wife's '72 Sportster and my '74 Sportster had front disc brakes also. Now, if it's got REAR disc brakes, that's a different story. Those didn't come along until a couple of years later.

Nope. Never even thought about it.

However, I have noticed that whenever there are more than a few reviews on anything, they will vary, with some people saying it's the best and others saying it's the worst. I would probaly rate this place just a little less than the average RV park, but this price also costs less than most.

The Sonoarn Desert RV Park, 40 miles west of here, is a nicer place, but for 20 bucks more per night. I would say the price for each is just right--you get what you pay for.

Not too bad. We're doing less RV parks these days. Too expensive and not nearly as nice as the forest.

Everything seems expensive these days because of the abnormally fast inflation.

But I mostly take this Class A to RV Parks, and I use my Class C for boondocking in the forests.

I can usually ride or hike to nice places from any RV Park, even this one has several hiking trails on the east side I need to check out.

When I got out of the RV this morning, I did notice a little smell. But if I wasn't thinking about it, I don't think I would have noticed. It is a rather weak smell in the Wild West RV Park this morning.

No noticeable wind. Nice warm day.

Today, I took a short ride to West Pinal RV Campground, which is less than 5 miles southwest of here. It has several empty spaces and I now I feel I made a couple of mistakes on this trip. It would have made more sense to dump here, do laundry, etc, stay for one night, and then go to West Pinal. Or come here after the stay there when ready to leave West Pinal, if necessary.

While there are no hookups at West PInal, I like it much better than this full hookup RV park. And save $40.00 per night.

Unfortunately, I already made a reservation for Monday, for east of Bisbee, so I will not be staying at Pinal at all during this trip.

OTOH, I like to keep places in reserve to see some other day, and West Pinal is now high on my list of places to visit.

BTW, there is a well-stocked Family Dollar (grocery) Store five miles east of here, if one doesn't want to go 14/19 miles to the town of Maricopa. Add five miles to both the distances for West Pinal as the town is 14 miles north of here.

There, they have picnic tables, unlike here. It is a quiet place with good hiking and only ten bucks per night. The sign in front says "day use of this park is free" (some in this forum need to write them a letter telling them "nothing is free").

Here is a photo I took of an unoccupied RV campsite:

The road going in to WP is short and not bad at all for any-sized RV combo, but is unpaved, but so is the road to this Wild West RV Park.

The sign at the entrance was a difficult photo with the sun shining in the direction of the camera lens:

Outhouse near each campsite, but not too close:

We actually booked a spot here but we ended up at Gilbert Ray. Can't remember why we didn't stop.

The first time I drove by it on I-8, I lost interest in stopping here because it looked like it was too far out in the middle of nowhere without a store or gas station for miles. But well after, I looked at a map and saw the town of Maricopa wasn't far (14 miles directly north), and there is a well-stocked Family Dollar Store less than half that distance (5 miles east in Standfield, AZ) that cannot be seen from I-8.

The West Penal Park is just a few miles more to each.

From now on, I will only stay there and only come here for one or two nights if I need to dump tanks, get water, do laundry, etc., before or after. I prefer to stay boondocked at the West Penal Park over this full-hookup RV Park. And it's $40.00 cheaper per night there, too.

Great info, we are planning to head west in January. Quartzite is the destination but I want options.
Another good option is the Sonoran Desert RV Park in Gila Bend, AZ. I have never seen it as packed as their photo shows, and I have NEVER had a reservation in advance, and I have been there many times during the peak of the peak season (January).

But it is more expensive than here, now something like $70.00 per night IIRC, when tax is included. But they have a 10% vet discount, making it somewhat reasonable.
