KOFA Rally Jan 5 2026

On Jan 5th 2026, several of us are going to meet at KOFA and spend 4 or 5 nights there. No agenda - just relaxing and saying hello. If you haven't been to KOFA, it's about 25 miles south of Quartzsite, and we usually camp about a mile east of Hwy 95 on the north side of Kings Rd. Camping is amongst Saguaro cactus and there are some easy hikes if you're into that. You can camp for free for up to two weeks. Nighttime temps can get down to freezing, but they're usually in the 40s. Sometimes it's as dry as a bone, sometimes it pours. If you're going to be in the area, you're welcome to join us.

Sadly that conflicts with the Indio rally we are attending. Too bad. I love that area. I know we will be spending some time there this winter.

Yep, like the Saguaro cactus to the right of my motorhome, and I did all my hikes from this spot in Kofa. I never used the bike while there.

Hi Kevin, Sarge and all,

We had planned to attend and be at KOFA in that time frame but we had to cancel our entire trip to the southwest due to problems here. I do wish everyone happy camping and good camaraderie!

I'd enjoy meeting Sarge at some time in the future.

We may have to cancel if I can't resolve the Pace's Attwater Levellegs/Jacks issue. As much as I was looking forward to a few days at KOFA, I'm not sure I'm up to lying on the ground and using my makeshift jack supports to allow us to open our slides.

I'm planning to be in Tucson at the end of January and into February. I'll be staying in Benson, AZ. Might be possible for an unRV rally with Kevin and even others if they are around. My stay will be short, ten to 15 days.

I'll be at the Motel 6 and driving back and forth to Tucson everyday. I participate in the Gemshow that is on at that time. I can take some time off and plan to eat at the Mexican Resturant in Benson.

I know you have camped at Benson and I have hoped to run into you sometime if your not busy!

There's more than one Mexican i think. Presumably you are talking about Mi Casa?

Hi Everyone,

I think there are three or four Mexican restaurants in Benson. I've been to Magaly's Restaurant. I see there are two Mi Casa's about two hundred feet apart (assuming no error).

I'll let you know when I am in town PancakeBill. I've got to run into Tucson the first couple of days.
