Besides Fleetwood Bounders 35k and 33c and Itasca Sunstar 35f, does anyone know of other coaches that have the L-shaped couch?  Looking for something used and around $100,000, so no high-end DP's please.  ;)  Really, really like this feature, but seems the models I mentioned are only available in the most recent years.  Thanks!  ;D

I can't help you with what models have the L shaped couch, but I can tell you that I love ours!  It's probably the most comfortable feature on our MH.  We've had as many as 8 people in to watch a movie and they were all able to sit down comfortably!  Great innovation!  I hadn't seen it until we saw it in our model in 2011...I'm sure it was around before that, just not how long.  I also know that some of the lower end MH's from Winnebago have it in them, I've seen it in their brochure.

Rexhall has had a lot of floor plans with L-shaped sofas over the years, both gas and diesel. The Fleetwood Excursion has it in the 35 footer, but that's probably out of your price range.

Those are often called "side aisle" floor plans, because the L sofa usually forces the aisle that runs front to back off to one side rather than down the middle.

FWIW some RV manufacturers call it a "J-lounge".

I was just looking at RVUSA dot com and I did a search on Class A 36ft+ and came up with a few on there and I believe brand new were under 100K (gas engines)..I do recall Thor Challenger being one of them.

That floorplan is starting to catch on among the manufacturers, so you'll only find it in newer floorplans. Taking ~25%+ off list price will put you in the ball park of your $100k budget. Here are a few:

Tiffin Allegro 36LA

Winnebago Sightseer 36V (also it's twin; Itasca Sunova 36V)
http://www.generalrv.com/inventory/248939/New-2013-Winnebago-Sightseer-36V.aspx

Itasca Sunstar 35F (and it's twin Winnebago Vista 35F)

Thor Challenger 37DT

Forest River Georgetown XL 377

One thing I've noticed is that some of the couches are hard as a rock (the Bounder is one); while others are significantly softer (Winnebago/Itasca). Make sure you sit on them for a while!

Hope this helps! Best of luck in your search!

I'm sure that 's not true ! :)

I just bought a new one this year, and I always jump at the chance to have another outlet for all the pent-up acquired research I just did in that gasser market segment, LOL! ;D

Full wall slides have made the side aisle style of floor plan very attractive. It allows an aisle to run full length of the coach down one side, which leaves more space for room-like furniture groupings.

I'm sure it is  ;)  We haven't shopped new (or used) coaches for a year or so, and haven't shopped with the intent to buy for 8 years.

Thank you! VERY helpful and I'm so excited to see a Tiffin on there, as they are our preferred manufacturer.  I think the popularity of these floor plans, or at least for us, is that they look so much less like a motor home and more like a cozy little home.  Anyone out there ever sit on the Tiffin sofa who can attest to it's comfort?

Also, is 25%+  off list a realistic number for price we can expect to pay for most manufacturers?

You are a wise person.  Keep those depreciation dollars in your pocket!

Also check out the Georgetown 335 DS and the Sunstar 35f (both will have the layout you like - sunstar will be more $ but higher quality!)

Yeah, my girls  (all three of them), love our extendable sofa. If you hit a couple of switches it even reclines and makes into a pretty good size bed.
