Well, I'm now parked at the Las Vegas OASIS park, see comments in another thread.  Before coming here I called the Covered Wagon park on Bolder hwy south of Russell.  They assured me they had plunty of room for me but when I got there first they were somewhat concerned about where they could park a 37'7" rig (Sites are only 38 feet max) and of course this is one of the discriminating parks (No rigs over so many years old, AGE discrimination is illegal far as I'm concerned) Then they inspect the rig for blemishes (They were going to allow me anyway) then they wanted to charge extra for the cats.. When I said I'd mention it online they decided (And I agreed) I did not need to park there.

Sites did not look that nice either and from the entrance area I can't imagine why they worry about a rig with minor damage Park facilities are not all that good looking either.

The good thing about this is that next time I'm in vegas.... One less park to call if I'm looking to stay a few extra days

I believe the silverton RV park is no more.  Since last year I think.

You're right, Ron. We drove by there on the way to Pahrump last month and the RV park is gone, not a bit of it left, just a big empty lot. I believe they're going to expand the hotel/casino.

Oh there are many places I can and have stayed in Vegas..  No shortage of places to park.

Seems there is also no shortages of places where I don't want to park.  I phoned a few parks before getting to the Covered Wagon and many asked the age of my rig.

I'm going to adopt a policy.. If ever I should buy a new rig, and call a park and ask while it still has "the sticker in the window" as it were.. If they ask, i'm not staying there.
