As long as it’s in the Spring or Fall. I was stationed at Nellis AFB and remember my boots soles melting to the runway.
I remeber that - was there from 70-74. "Hot Dry Summers"! Like a blast furnace in your face, through an open window. Not to mention the possibility of a sand storm where you could not see the car 5 ft. in front of you. I was at the bomb dump and flight line those years.

I was in CE, Electronic Controls. A coworker and I were put in charge of the alarm systems for the bunkers that housed the nukes. We were told not to touch anything, not even the spider webs. If a system in a bunker went down we just told the SP’s to contact whoever managed the nukes to move them to an operational bunker. Best job ever.

LV in Jan is not bad (Been there, it actually SNOWED one night but T-Shirt most of the time light jacket at the worst.)

If Main Street Casino still has an RV lot behind the California ...
Pluses
You are an easy walk to Freemont Street Expierence (The casinos names are on Freemont)
They have good security.
Low prices
Negatives
Bad neighborhood Returning after dark a security guard road his bicycle beside us returning to our rig.
NOISY the freeway (Elevated) has an exit ramp right there.
EMS/Fire is next door (other side of a brick wall
As is the central bus terminal.

Since I'm used to traffic and EMS/Fire noises. Did not bother me (Our house was 2 block off a primary multi-lane highway and since the toot of a siren blocks it up like you can't believe mour STREET was the primary for EMS/Fire)

Pick-A-Part is a junkyard where you bring your own tools and remove the parts you want from the junked cars. I assume a Pick-A-Part rally is something similar, maybe a swap meet in the parking lot of the Las Vegas Motor Speedway north of town? I know they rent out their parking lots for dealer based RV shows, etc. between speedway events.
