It is nearly impossible to keep up with the quickly changing CG openings and rules.  I thought this might be a great place to let the group know what you know from either traveling though a state or in your state.

Are private CG's allowed to open.  What about state parks?

Any info would help someone I am sure.

There are some other sites with that information in a friendly form than a forum with linked threads. If the mods will allow an external link, look at https://thedyrt.com/magazine/local/campground-closures-list-covid-19/

If the link gets deleted, just google ?Campground Openings?.

Another forum I frequent tried to do what you mention, and it degenerated into frequently obsolete data and people trying to update information weeks old that had already been updated.

There is already a thread started weeks ago here on the forum regarding campground closures.

I think it would be worthwhile to continue to use it for openings as well.

The best source of complete information I've used for the past month has been the comprehensive Campendium lists that cover federal, state, COE, military, and some private.  They have expanded coverage so that you can drill down to the state level, and get city by city, or county by county information  that includes prohibited use of private parks for example in certain states/locations.

I've posted this list previously in the thread pasted above.

Latest update is April 29 and can be found here

Please take a look and see if it meets your needs.

Hi,

Campground Reviews has advertised continuing updates from the various camp grounds that they make available. Click on the link above or: https://www.campgroundreviews.com/?utm_source=rvforum.net&campaign=banner

I know that some friends said that they were able to register and camp as they were coming home this year from the southwest. Sometimes auto payments and they provide camp site for you based on your info of what you need. Call ahead to be sure.
