I just bought a 1500 RAM Classic. Part of my retirement gifts to myself...
Unfortunately as I was buying used I did not have the ability to be too choosy but I knew I wanted greater towing capacity than my Jeep Liberty. Of course I fell in love with the truck (and price) before sussing out all the towing stuff. The weirdest thing was that the yellow sticker was missing from the door pillar. I queried the sales person about it but it fell through the cracks while deal making.
I looked at the paperwork I got and there was nothing definitive but in reading the owners manual they suggested going to:
There I was able to look up the truck by VIN number. 8600# which is less than I had imagined but more than I need so I guess I am happy. Especially as I got an outstanding deal on the truck which only has 24k miles on it. About half price compared to a new similar truck.
