We've got an Edge M-21, 2010, that is approaching the 10year limit imposed by some campgrounds we've been in. Looking for ideas for: 21-24 feet, 5,500 gross weight, recliners or theater seating, no jack knife sofa, ducted A/C, full queen, no dinette. Just the 2 of us using it so dont need the extra sleeping area of the sofa. Any thoughts? Thanks, Jim

As long as the trailer is clean and shinny, I would not worry about that 10 year limit. Just don't broadcast the year of manufacture, only a very knowledgeable person could determine that on a trailer. Most of them do not work in  camp grounds.

Agree with Stu - if age is the only reason you want to trade, don't do it.  If you don't feel comfortable stating your rigs age as [current year - 10], just have some pictures handy (paper and digital) to show, demonstrating that it is clean and well kept.  Most campgrounds with age limits readily grant exceptions.

Otherwise, you need to start shopping the RV manufacturers sites for suitable size & floor plan. Forest River and Keystone have numerous models and floor plans in your range. Also look at Winnebago and The numerous Thor companies.

Stu is right!  When they ask, say it is 7 years old.  99% of those asking will not know the difference.  Their reason for the restriction is to avoid older campers in poor repair from making the place look bad.  They will not fuss over a well maintained, clean, shiny camper, regardless of age.
