It can remotely control it via wifi. I've not used it much, I keep forgetting about it.

Wow! So some come with WiFi now? That's news to me. Of course I've not paid a lot of attention to the newer ones since I got the 7100, so I guess I'm behind the times.

I actually have the little case for my remote that came with the camera, but I cannot find the dang remote.

I have the remote, but totally forgot about it, since I rarely have a need for it. Also, I believe it needs to be used from in front of the camera, which can be awkward in this situation.

I have a little Cannon point and shoot, but I use the WiFi function a lot! I can transfer the photos on the camera directly to my ipad or phone. Very handy. Since I take snapshots only, I have t used the remote control from the app, but the functionality is there.

I missed a lot of it due to cloud cover. It was sketchy, bit it did give it a unique look. Couldn't get a clear photo though.
