They only booed santa cause he was holding up the game lol

What makes la a better sports town than phila? Honest question.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have won more World Championships (8) than the 76ers (3), Eagles (1) and Phillies (2) combined (6). And that Is not even counting the Angels (1), the Rams (4), the Raiders (1) and the Lakers (17). That is 37 to 6. And the Dodgers outdraw the Phillies every year.Dodgers attendance.png

It has its charm. Lots to like and lots not to like. I would put the constitution center, independence hall, italian market, and reading terminal market on that list.
Been to all those. Love Reading Terminal Market. Biggest problem there is you can’t have a big enough appetite for all the good food.

if your definition of a great sports town is only how much they win then phila aint your town lol. My definition includes passionate fans and i dont know of anyplace that beats phila in that regard.

You sound like a yankee fan to me 🙂

I think sometimes credentials are needed in a debate so everyone knows there’s no smoke being blown. Nothing wrong with somebody prefacing what is about to be said with education and experience.
Definitely-- and very common in the forum here in fact where a posters often include a brief description of their experiences related to the post they are responding to.

I can think of at least ten cities that have more passionate fans than Philadelphia, New York, Los Angeles, Green Bay, Chicago, Atlanta to name a few.

I hate the Yankees. However I do have the ultimate Yankee fans desire:

He just signed my card, you can see it under his left hand.

You can be anything you want to be, it's the internet. If I weren't so modest I'd mention my two Nobels. Which absent any evidence to the contrary, could be true.
I don’t care but you seem to think part of my CV is meaningful. Again, I’m happy to discuss things but not exchange lame barbs. What was ur profession, assuming you are retired?

I might buy that green bay and chicago could be close. New york is split between the giants and jets. If you had that in phila there would be civil war. La not even close. Phila fans would never put up with teams rotating through like they do there.

Have you ever spent any time in phila during an eagles cowboys game?

I almost OD'd on bubblegum trying to get some good cards.

yes Tom 2004-16.jpg

great picture. It was funny that for years whether the Eagles were considered successful had more to do with whether they beat Dallas than winning the Super Bowl. Buddy Ryan is loved because he beat Dallas so much
Yet the Eagles have a losing record vs the Cowboys.

very true. that is one reason the rivalry was so deep. Luckily for eagles fans Dallas hasn't been as good in recent years and the eagles are catching up. It was tough being an eagles fan for so many years. The Marion Campbell, Rich kotite, and ray Rhodes years were tough Leonard Tose is adored in Phila cause he hired Dick Vermeil. Nice guy but not a great business man

that was one of the nice things about being a sports fan in Phila. Didn't matter how good or bad the team was. They don't lose many fans when they are terrible. People don't get why Phila fans boo. They still love the team but are frustrated cause they aren't doing as well as the fans think they should. Maybe that is messed up but they are definitely honest fans.
