Just sayin'...

Our Milky Way galaxy is 100,000 light-years across. That’s basically 946 quadrillion km (588 quadrillion mi).
The Milky Way galaxy contains up to 400 billion stars and anywhere between 100 to 200 billion planets. Our galaxy alone contains at least 6 billion Earth-like planets.

These are planets that may have the right conditions to support the existence of life. With all these astonishing numbers of galaxies, stars and planets, do you still think we’re alone in the universe?

if not for potential life, does the universe serve any purpose.
Does life have a purpose?

For human species, it is clear. We are here to destroy everything possible. It is what we do best.

For all other species, often including humans, it is to live in fear of being killed. Wars for many humans. With other lifeforms for most it is the other wildlife. Constant fear that some other animal is going to make a meal out of them.

And some people want to worship the creator of this place?

Something created all this.
Illogical.

We cannot figure out what causes life because it is so complex we cannot truly understand it. So it must have come from something even more complex.

That makes no sense to me.

We are NOT capable of understanding many things, I just leave it at that.

Sorry, but my fellow extraterrestrials avoid this planet like it has the plague. We don't want you to know about us. We've seen your behavior to your fellow human beings who are different. What will you do to us who are vastly different from you?

Maybe "it" always was.
But the earth wasn't always here. Only 4.5 billion years or so. That is nothing compared to infinite such as "always here". Our star (the so-called sun) is only a little older, 4.6 billion years. That still is very young compared to "always here".

I was talking about the universe.
Albert Einstein said there were two things that are infinite, but of the two, he wasn't so sure about the universe but was very sure of the other.

Do you know what the other infinite thing was that he was very sure of?

Nope

Human stupidity. 40 years ago our computer systems administrator was a verifiable genius. He told me privately that 80% of people are stupid. At the time I thought he was vastly exaggerating but now I believe he was vastly underestimating.

That is why I can't tolerate living in big cities. They believe they are intellectually superior but nothing could be farther from the truth. They can't see the forest for the trees. Humans evolved in small groups not crawling all over each other like a box full of hamsters. The city dwellers who own RVs obviously feel the reality is why they feel the need to escape to nature.
