Mercedes benz 330hp

It's been a while sence i posted anything started back looking at moterhomes and wondering if anyone has any informarion on the mercedes benz 330HP. engine compaired to cummins or cat. Was wondering if somewone had one and how they liked it.

The MB 330 hp has an amazing 1000 ft lbs of torque. From what I have read on it , they are a solid engine. If it is in a freightliner chassis (which I suspect it is) any freightliner facility can service it.

It has been stated often that the MB motor gets better mpg than the others also, and is indeed a good motor.

Thanks for the info. This in in a forest river berkshire would this stand up to fulltiming.

If you do the maint it may out last you. The MB is as good as aneything else out there.

Good motors.  Good MPG  and dependability.  Doesn't leak and seems to hold together well.  One thing to watch is the EGR cooler. Develops exhaust leaks.  Not a big deal.
