HAS ANYONE HAD A GOOD EXPERIENCE WITH SEASONAL CAMPING IN A MICHIGAN CAMPGROUND? WE ARE ESPECIALLY INTERESTED IN WESTERN AND NORTHWESTERN MICHIGAN, BUT ARE OPEN TO ANYTHING WORTHWHILE IN THE STATE.

We stay at Traverse RV Resort in Traverse City.  Excellent resort.

It is not opened all year..........

I'm not to familiar with the west side, but I can recommend a few on the east side.  Sno-Trac, and River Park in Grayling.  Jellystone in Franknmuth.  And Harbortown in Monroe, which will have the water on at your site, and the sewer is available.  Very few campgrounds in Michigan will have water on at site.

Here's a link to MARVAC.  Click on campground, (on the left), and then scroll down, and click open year round (on the right).  This should give you a place to start any way. Hope it helps

If you go to River Park, tell Dennis and Mo, Barb and Frank said Hi.

Very true Barb I believe it opens the first of May and I know it closes the last day of Oct.  But then who wants to be up there in the snow season. ;D

Sounds like Sassy does, that's why the topic of this thread is
seasonal
.  Well, I could be wrong....but seasonal means open all year round to me.

There's a lot of people who like to camp, ski, snowmobile, and enjoy other winter sports across the country.  Our attitude was...we paid for all year round, why not use it all year round.  We winter camped for 7 years.  And enjoyed every minute of it.

But that was then, and this is now.  And we now have an allergy to snow.  And are loving it.

You didn't get that allergy to snow from me did you.  That is my only allergy. Grin

 I don't think so, I think it just developed naturally. ;)
