Today the ladies of the Red Hat Society had lunch in the town. Hopefully, we'll get to see some photos.

At this afternoon's organization meeting, yesterday's recipients of the new awards got to pass them along to the next deserving recipients;

  • Jim Johnson received the hee haw award for having accidentally switched off his entry step instead of the porch light and, as a result, falling out of his coach.
  • Betty Brewer received the smiley award for keeping a smile on her face while being harrassed by some unsociable camper.
  • Chris received the care award on my behalf, although I'm not sure what I did to earn it. (I was sick today and hiding in our coach).

Jim Dick, Chet Parks and Terry Brewer took a ride to Arches National Park. Hopefully Jim took his camera along, although I know Terry has uploaded a few photos.

Chris Pennings decided that the park blacktop made a good speedway track. See photo.

Tuesday award recipients:

  • Smiley - Helaine for smiling all the way around the Chicken Corners trip.
  • Care Bear - Betty for the great jobs she's doing on the forum calendar.
  • Hee haw - yours truly for letting my fresh water fill overflow. Betty caught me turning it off.
  • Not an official award (yet), - Russ, for sneaking in a nap while everyone else is having fun.

Tom:  Thanks for posting the award winners and photos.  It's great to put faces to names.

I'm going to quit mentioning all my qualifications for the Hee Haw award.

You're welcome Pat. Yesterday's (Friday) winners of the coveted awards were:

  • CareBear: Ned, for always being around to help.
  • HappyFace: Chris, for always smiling while yours truly is always online.
  • HeeHaw: Jerry, for getting lost numerous times on the Fiery Furnace hike.

Photos not yet available from the photographer.

Oops, omitted this photo of Terry in formal dress (or as formal as Terry gets) from Thursday's awards photos.

We had a change of plans following yesterday's (Friday) potluck. Due to a storm that blew in, the no-talent show was rescheduled to this afternoon, and the DVD slide show of the Brewers' Mexico piggyback trip was moved to our coach. Thanks to Jerry Fitzgerald for the panorama of 25 folks sitting or standing wherever they could find a spot.

Terry had put music to the photos, and both he and Betty narrated throughout. The show was very much appreciated by all. Lots of ooh's and aah's, and a few laughs.

Check out the photo album of their trip to see a small sample of the photos.

I'll tell ya this is the most talented bunch of RVers!!!? ?We had a ball.? The 'Non-talent Talent Show' was a great hit.? I was laughing so hard I hoped the video camera had a great stabilizer in it.? It did.? Russ is burning DVD copies for the performers; Tim and I will keep the video in the safe for future bribing needs.

WE leave in the morning for Torrey and Escalante and onto to Lake Panguitch in hopes of fly fishing.? If we can't get in to get our lines wet, w think we'll head up to see our granddaugher.
?
Thanks everyone for such a great Moab trip.? We'll see you all in Quartzsite and then again next year.

I'm attaching a photo I took outside of the motorhome during the end of a rain storm.

You're welcome Doug. When I get a chance, I'll get more photos uploaded to the photo albums on our web site. Jerry just handed me his photos from "the show", and I'm sure they're all much better quality than the ones I took. Like Marsha, I was laughing so hard at some of the acts that it was tough to keep the camera still  :)

Marsha & Tim,

Great to see you folks again. We too leave in the morning. Wish we could follow you for the fly fishing, but we have some commitments at home. Thanks for being the videographer; Looking forward to getting a DVD from Russ.

Great pics, Tom.  We're glad to see that everyone behaved with appropriate decorum!  Wish we could have been there.  We're in the now steamy south.

Thanks Peggy. See what you missed. Just think, Chris could have had Dennis in drag  :)

We're in the now steamy south.

Oh my, I'd have a really tough time in the combined heat and humidity, and I'd be hiding in the a/c.
