I travel to music events like bluegrass festivals and jams, etc., usually with limited facilities, so I bring my own. I enjoy playing acoustic music.

I usually travel with a purpose , meeting friends at destinations, rather than seeing which way the wind blows me.  Then again, I'm not retired, and have work as well as family obligations, etc..  The price of fuel has limited my travel, although spontaneous travel is something I enjoy if available time becomes available.

There are a lot of music festivals around the country.. I too like Bluegrass, And folk, I don't get to nearly enough festivals though.

Now that I'm retired... I will try to work more into my sked.

Alas, I don't play.. But I do sing!

My wife and I attend bluegrass Festivals as t-shirt vendors. Since we still work back in Toledo, we are only able to do about 6-8 per year mostly in Ohio, Michigan & Indiana. Our furthest is Blythe CA in Jan and Nashville in Feb.
