You just need to come up with a good story of how the lift is going to benefit the library, John.

It is not a 10,000 pound lift but it does work and it is always with me when I travel.

The center panels lift out so that you can access the underside of the car.

It is Hydraulic and has safety stops built in and I also put a vertical safety post into each upright when traveling.

It allows me to carry two cars with me, one of which is a lifted Jeep Commander with larger tires.

It must be nice bringing the entire shop with you when you travel, that's one expensive lift though.  :)

Great looking trailer Bill.  We looked at stackers when we were racing but a little beyond our budget and the extra space I know I would have every inch of that thing filled.  Then my little ole ISL400 wouldn't have been able to pull it.

As is our 26' Haulmark Edge enclosed trailer with the Jeep, Harley Ultra Classic and full of tools, it tips the scales just over 12k pounds and so far the coach pulls it great.  Coach weighs right @ 36k pounds.

Out of curiosity, Bill, what engine does your Country Coach have and how does it do?  What is your coach weight and loaded trailer weight?

Mike.

Mike,

I have the same engine as you.  It actually pulls very well considering I usually do not go faster than 55.  I can go much faster but I worry about the tires on the Stacker.  They are ST tires.  The coach weighs about 35,000 and the Trailer weighs 20,500 loaded.  The empty trailer weighs right at 10,000.

I do slow up for hills, but that does not bother me.  I have yet to find a grade that I could not climb.  It just downshifts and keeps going.

I am 75 feet long but have never been stopped yet for length.  I am owed a 45 foot DP by my company and that might get me stopped for overall length.

That DP will have a 600 HP engine.

That would be nice.  I would love to have the 600hp Cummins ISX in my little 40' coach. ;D

Mike.
