It has a 1200 watt pure sinewave inverter. A Xantrex Freedom X 1200.

It also has a WineGard ConnecT 2.0. I never heard of that before. Anybody here have one? I assume it has a monthly fee, if so how much?

It has a slot for a sim card for either WineGard's own data plan or AT&T I believe. Not using either.
The unit also has a TV antenna and WiFi built-in. I set it up to receive the signal from our FMCA/Sprint hotspot for $49.95 per month plus the yearly FMCA membership. It then acts as a router for all our WiFi devices in our RV. If we do run into the issue of not having a cell signal, all we have to change is the source of signal for the WineGard. Either campground WiFi or another hotspot from a different provider. Feel free to contact me if you have more questions.

We only paid 140k for our 2022 Entegra Vision XL 36A. We opted out of everything they offered us.

Sometimes there's more to it than the base price. Such as my 27A comes with ether an 8 or 12CF refrigerator. Mine has the 12CF. The price varies with such the options. I think even the tankless water heater is an option. I have that also. Besides, I gave the OTD price. But the price is most likely higher out west. Besides, my "new" RV had more than 3,000 miles on it. It was driven to Sparks. Nevada from wherever it was built (Indiana?). All that jacks up the price (and miles!).

I am on an RV trip right now, but in my old RV. I figure it's time to go through a tank of gasoline in this Y2K rig.

If your rig is like my new one, you probably want to consider what I did with the 300AH lith battery. I also have such in this rig, but in this Y2k rig, it's the main house battery. In the new rig, it's independent from the stock system. It's nice to be able to run the MW oven as long as we need with no low voltage alarms! Same for making coffee and such. I think it will be rare for me to need to run the genny in either rig. Not because of more solar, but because of more battery! 300AH is a lot with a lith battery as the voltage stays up until more than 95% is discharged.

Well, ours came with 5 TV's. Yes, 5. The 2 in the bunks and the main TV are "smart". The bedroom TV and the outside TV are dumb. I made those smart with a Fire TV stick and a Roku stick. I also hooked up a computer to the main TV. I will be more than happy to help you through the setup once you have your new rig.

I am using my V W/L portable Hotspot right now, if that counts.

Will the Winegard 2.0 Connect be helpful to watch TV or do anything else that could be useful to me? For the web, this V W/L hotspot usually works well for stuff like these forum messages. I can only recall a couple of places where it has not worked for me. One is the Big Bend of Texas, the other was (but only recently) at the Sunset Park in Death Valley--where it did work well several years ago. My V W/L cell works great there, just no data. I wonder what changed. I have to wonder if the hotel there had something to do with it, as they charge $11.00 per day to use their wireless system.

I use an older Verizon JetPack 7730 with a Visible SIM card and a GL.iNet travel router and a Roku to stream most of the TV we watch. All the hardware was less than $300 and Visible cell service is $25/mo. Lots of "free" programming through the Roku.

I have never used any of that weird tv stuff, so I know nothing about it. But I will have to find out, if I want to watch TV from my new RV.

Even this old Y2K RV has a satellite dish on top that I have never used.

Well first I find Over the air works in many places though yoru results will vary
You need a modern ATST capable TV (somethign newer that 2007) is all and the good old Winegard Sensar IV as my choice.n (I also had the sensar pro wall plate replacement. Very nice)

Most of these TV's have both USB ports (for power) and a spare HDMI port you can plug a "Cast" device in and cast the screen of your laptop up to 'em... or your phone. and run Internet Streaming TV apps IF YOU HAVE THE BANDWIDTH.

Of course some place that just won't work
Then you plug in a blue ray in pop a DVD into your laptop's player and cast it. (Or plug in a blue ray or DVD player to the Other HDMI port on the TV_) The TV I use now has only one of those but I have a triplicator for it (Three in one out)

The cell tower that provides service at Furnace Creek is owned by the hotel so yes, they have something to do with it. They also own the backhaul link that connects the cell tower to the rest of the Verizon network (the nearest Verizon tower is in Amargosa Valley, NV).

What a bummer! Now to use their system, you not only have to pay the 11 bucks per day, you must be close to the motel--on that side of the road. The signal isn't quite strong enough to make it to the Sunset camp.

What Larry said .. It is the new "DIGITAL broadcast standard.
Cable TV is QAM (Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) Many older TV's did QAM and NTSC (National Television Standards Committee) but since 2007 (i think might be earlier) all TVs sold must either be labeled Analog only or able to decode ATSC (over the air digital)

ONE (The Element brand) as far as I know the only one. Does not do QAM (Digital cable)
But then many cable systems today are "Encoded" so you got to rent the @#$%32 Box

I just now got back from taking my RV in for them (RV Country in Sparks, NV) to fix the issues mentioned here in message number 47.

Many here have said I shouldn't pick up the RV until all the issues found were fixed. One issue was the leveling jacks didn't work and another was a few lug nut caps were missing. Those were the issues discovered there. They discovered the leveling jacks didn't work, but I had to point out several lug nut caps were missing. The rest in message 47 were the issues I discovered during my maiden voyage. My only trip in it so far.

Anyway, because of my compulsion, I did pick up the RV in early September before anything was fixed. So we will now see how this works out for me. If they take care of everything, I will be happy with their service, even though it was mostly stuff I discovered myself during my maiden voyage to the middle of NV (Cold Springs Station, near Austin, NV). All stuff they should have discovered there, IMO, as well as at the factory.

Yeah, quality control is non-existent with new RVs. The new owner must do it, don't trust anybody else to do it these days.

At least it was all small stuff. Stuff I could and would fix myself if it were not in warranty.

BTW, they give the RV a big checkout when I brought it back to them. But of course, that is to protect them, in case there are problems found from while in their hands. They then take photos and all of every little minor mark and such. And check inside and out. Took about an hour while I was there. But during that time, I also showed them every issue mentioned in message 47.

I really don't have any photos other than what was posted in this thread. Today, they took close up photos of stuff I would not even notice.

Anyway, they expect I will have my RV back in a week . . perhaps two at the longest. But I am wondering if they can even get the jack levelling harness. It must be on backorder or something if they do not have it by now.

I will start my trip to Florida in it within a few days when I get my RV back--whenever that will be.
