We stay at Ocean Lakes ( www.oceanlakes.com )to the south of MB, every July.  It's right on the beach, if you can get a site close.  Not sure how booked they are for spring.  We always book 18 months in advance to get the beach block sites.  It's a large campground.  Good luck and have fun!

Try the state campground, I hear it is nice, most S. C. state campgrounds are great. You can reserve on ReserveUsa. Weather can be unpredictable that time of year. If lucky it will be in 70's to 80's.

We second the motion on Ocean Lakes.  We stay there every April.  Our retriever loves it because they let dogs run on the beach until Memorial Day.  It is a lovely campground and HUGE.  Take your bikes if you have them (very flat), or rent a golf cart for the week.  GREAT swimming pool (when you tire of the beach) and lots to do around town.  You can try for a spot at the edge of the ocean, but the ocean view spots rent years in advance.  One year we got lucky with a cancellation.  some spots have concrete pads, so ask about them when you reserve.

Excellent.  You will like the strategic location on the beach, midway between downtown Myrtle Beach to the north and restaurant alley on the inlet to the south.

You mean you didn't make a reservation for us right next to you.  It's about time you get that RV out of the driveway and use it!  ha!  Will let you know what it is like after our trip to Florida coming up soon.        Your brother-in-law

Ocean Lakes is great (but do not get a site next to the pool unless you really like kids screaming). You may want to try Huntington Beach State Park 6-8 miles farther south on US 17. It is the ocean side of the estate of the Huntingtons Brookgreen Sculpture Garden with the ruins of their 20,00 sq. foot mansion. GREAT BEACH!! very few people after 6 pm.. Nothing built on 2 miles of the beach. SC the way it was before development. Site along the perimeter were shaded and spacious.

Myrtle Beach Travel Park is our favorite, it is more centered in the middle of everything and their new lazy river is awesome. Probably be to cold over Easter though. We are heading to Chimney Rock over Easter weekend.
Have fun
