Hello everyone,
My wife and I are getting close to retiring. We have about a year and a half to go and we will be "out of here". Here is Wisconsin. Our thoughts are to live in the Rv throughout the Winter and the remaining of out work year. It can get very cold, and we are looking for advise as to how to proceed.

We are looking at finding a inside building to park the vehicle, and that will at least help with the bone chilling wind.

We are selling our house and this is a way to save $$$

Does anyone have any information on a 2000 National Dolphin and how they stack up with insulation.

Lastly, our we crazy for even thinking about trying this?

Bert & Deb:

We have a 2001 National Tradewinds that has handled temperatures down to 15 degrees with only a trouble light around the water valves but it will probably take more to handle the below zero temperatures you would probably encounter up there in Jan-Feb.

The only other caution is that if you are inside a building you would not be able to use your furnace because of carbon monoxide so you would have to have a good source of electricity to handle some heavy electric heaters. Finding a building with 50amp electric, water, and sewer should be a challenge.

Others here winterize for that kind of weather and will probably chime in.
