Need a brake light lens - 2001 Kodiak VXL 2000

The subject line pretty much says it all.

Here and there online I see what looks like the right part, but it's not definitive. The RV has been discontinued.

If you were in my shoes, and you had about a week to get this part right, what would you do?

Are there any numbers on the tail light  or the lens to help match it up?

did you lose it, or just cracked? 

Cracked: I'd go to autostore, buy some red tape. 
Lost: I'd gamble with online part, you need something back there.
