Need advice on GPS purchase please

I would like to buy a GPS for a person who isn't into technology. He can turn on a computer and play Freecell and doesn't want to know any more.

Have tried using my PDA with GPS software but picture not so good and software complicated.

He doesn't travel tooo much and can already recall every bump in every road he has ever driven so something mid-price or good low-end is what I would like advice on. Easy to find high end; not so easy to pick from all the rest.

Garmin has a wide selection of GPS units in all price ranges.  Also, the TomTom GO GPS has received some good reviews and seems to be easy to operate.  The TomTom units are more high end and somewhat expensive, but all the easy to use units will be more costly than a basic GPS.

Thank you Ned. I found a Garmin Street Pilot i3 that I can return to Costco if somebody thinks it is awful! (It was cheaper at the GPS Store without sales tax but return to Costco is easier.)

The i3 looks like a nice GPS for the money.  I'm sure he'll enjoy it.
