Need replacement bar

I have a CP Products weight distribution hitch (1,000 lb) and I am missing one of my sway bars with chains. Where can i find a replacement ?

Try hitch shops near you. Finding 1 bar will be tough, they are usually sold as sets dont set the bar too high lol

Okay. Thank you. I'll do some looking. I just didn't know how universal this sort of a bar was and if I needed to find the same model or if there were several manufacturers that use the same bars.

Even if you have to buy a pair.. Well.. Never hurts to have a spare on hand.
Just think this one broke and left you "Stranded" if you had a spare.. No Tribble. just pop it on).

The bars are peculiar to the hitch, but in doing some Google searches I turn up very little on CP Products beyond fold up steps and dinette table posts/sockets, so I suspect the hitch is 1) rather old, and 2) someone elses hitch rebranded.

I think that type of bar is one that is supposed to have a roll pin in the "head" of it and you insert it in the hitch crossways and then rotate it into position, the pin keeping it from falling out if it loses tension.

You may end up buying a complete new weight distribution hitch assembly.

You're correct @Rene T , I saw the word sway bar in OP's post...

For OP - here's the fastest and reasonably priced replacement - I've used these on a few trailers - just as good and robust as the more expensive ones..
