New Brinkley Replaces 46 Foot GD Momentum

Even though I posted that we were happy with our GD Momentum, we upscaled to a Brinkley yesterday.
This rig is a little bit shorter (which is our main desire) but so dang nice inside and out. Storage is incredible, the appointments are high quality and gorgeous, and it is so comfortable.
RV Connections in Dothan, AL has a wonderful staff, a great stock of new and used rigs, and treated us with respect. This is the second RV purchased from them and honestly, I hope it’s the last one.

Our GD was a 46 footer, this is 40’ 3”
We stopped carrying both motorcycles, now we just have the Indian, bicycles, and paddle boards.
5.5 ft opens up more campground opportunities and is a little bit easier in slow (campground/fuel stop) maneuvering.


The old “Cheby” tows like a dream. I did think about a Ford, just for the 6.7, but this one has served us well so far.

So far, so good. The Brinkleys are sure nice inside and out.

I inspected a number of Brinkley units last year. They are very impressive. The only issues I ever found in inspecting them were dings that were the results of mishandling by the dealers' personnel.

We just spent a week in the Brinkley 3520 at Pensacola’s Blue Angel Park. This is by far, the nicest of the 5 RVs that we have owned. It is comfortable, roomy, so well laid out that we weren’t in each other’s easy at all, even the dogs didn’t seem underfoot as much (45 and 80 lbs).
This rig has more storage than I ever imagined. We have room left in the closet(s), empty drawers and cabinets, so I think we need more stuff.
We may hang on to this one for a while…

You might be very surprised at how much a dealer will discount a new rig.
