Hey everyone!

I am happy to announce the opening of Uncle Smoky’s! A new campground near Truman lake, and Lake of the Ozarks in central Missouri.
Nestled in a much larger wooded area, this is a six acre, heavily wooded location in Dell Missouri with US Hwy 65 access!

Open to only one guest/group at a time.
Off grid, well water available.
Generator ok
2 rv sites, endless tent sites, private property, pets welcome, hiking trail, 1/8 mile to gas station, 5 miles to either Lake Ozark or Truman reservoir boat launches.
Room to park your boat, camper, and a couple of vehicles. This is raw ground with no asphalt or gravel, just a couple of cleared areas mowed and sprayed for ticks.
There is a trade off. For the easy Hwy65 access there is some traffic noise. Most of the traffic turns at 7 highway 1/8 mile away so the traffic is pretty light.
The USAF routinely flies A-10 warthog fighter jets in the area and they are very low and noisy. Usually lasts an hour or two per week. Pretty neat to watch, but they might spook your horse.
I am open to other longer term arrangements.
We are a 420 friendly private property.

I see you met the neighbors!
Not much of a campground at all. This morning for example, the armadillos were making the deer antsy. The owls would not stop screeching at the fox, and the turtles were looking at turkeys like they had beef. How could anyone relax with all that going on? I appreciate your humor, and hope you have occasion to stop in some day. I plan to add more to the “campground”, but you have to start somewhere.

Uncle Smoky, let's don't get all excited and start calling that a camp ground just yet. I have those exact same facilities and amenities here on my 100 acre farm in South Carolina. But it ain't no campground. Nice first post though!

Good morning workinonit!
Thank you for your response.
Perhaps my post is premature.
Perhaps there is a market for nature.

We will be adding a shower house with flushing toilets, & game cleaning facility.
Two pull through sites with full hookups, a storm shelter, and pavilion.
You might say we’re workinonit.

For now it is what it is. Tranquil

HaHa, work in progress and improvements. BTW, I love fishing up there. We used to go to Truman every year Crappie fishing and Bull Shoals every year Smallie fishing. I really love that area. Dad had a MH back when we did that so we could pull the boat. Hard to pull one behind a 5er.

A camp ground is any designated place where people camp. The OP has designated it a campground. It's not a RV resort nor does it have amenities but it is a campground.
