Hello and thanks to all for having so much great info easy to find. My wife and I look forward to retirement adventures in a truck camper soon with our sights set on Alaska - this year if we can, next year if not.
The last few days have been a whirlwind of negotiating and credit apps, hanging around in car dealers, sending emails and phone calls and in the end I am now waiting for a Ford F350 Lariat Dually to arrive in a few weeks to carry our soon coming Northstar Igloo camper.
We have a lot to learn. I have a mixed background as an auto tech, machinist, carpenter, with some plumbing and very little electronics thrown in. Hopefully we'll have a trouble free rig and smooth roads, but that might steal some of the adventure so what we really look forward to is getting on the road to see what comes.
I'll be posting specific questions no doubt as we get going.
best,
Joe and Nancy in eastern MA
