Hey there...new to the forum, but experienced travel trailer traveller.  Always interested in new ideas, adventures, problems to help with, etc.  Spend about 8 weeks a year on the road, in 10 day to two week segments.  Do not travel during the summer...live in a beautiful mountain area of Utah.....hard to find a better spot in the summer.  Winter, now, is a different story....... 4 to 5 feet of snow on our property.  Looking forward to jawing.  I am definitely a senior citizen. ;D

Welcome to our forum. You've come to the right place to find fellow RVers.

Welcome to the RV Forum.  Please join in on any of the ongoing discussions, start new discussions or ask questions.  Any chance you would be able to join next year us at our 8th annual RV Forum Moab rally?

To be honest, we're not much for group rallys....we travel with 3 dogs and tend to be loners...love to boondock in the wide open spaces so our dogs can ramble about.  Not to say we don't stay in many great RV parks AND observe proper dog etiquette,  i.e. leashes, pick up after, etc......but not really sit around the campfire types.  When in an RV park, we're usually gone all day hiking and exploring, dogs are dog tired when we get home in the evening, as are we, and ready for bed.  Been visiting Moab area off and on for 25 years or so, and you couldn't have picked a better place.  What time of year is the Rally?

The 2007 Moab Rally will be held at Portal RV Park as always 4/27/07 through 5/6/07.  If you decide to go mention the RV Forum when you make reservations.

Hi SumMutt,

We also travel with a dog (chocolate Lab) who prefers wide-open spaces (and, yes, we do clean up after him). Some of our favorite places are in Utah. Of course, we practically live in Utah (Cortez Colorado) and used to live in Utah (Hovenweep National Monument). But we do like getting together with this group. It's a fun group that makes you feel welcome but lets you do as little or as much with the group as you want. Lots of hiking, 4-wheel drives, and just hanging out at the Moab rally. And you won't find a group with as much knowledge as this bunch. Enjoy.
