New Resources feature

We have a new Resources feature (see the Resources button in the menu above).

When you click the Resources button, you'll see a number of categories that approximate the categories in our old forum library; Click any Category to see a list of the resources in that category. Click on the title of any resource to read the description, then click Download to open or download it.

Also, when you click the Forums button above, you'll see a Latest Resources section on the right side of the page; Click on the title of any resource to open or download it.

We are in the process of migrating content from the old forum library and resource pages, but we still have a way to go. Concurrently, we're also taking the opportunity to review, validate, and update the content, in addition to combining some overlapping/duplicate content.

Unlike the old forum, we've made it possible for forum members in good standing to create/upload resources, and they will be subject to moderation by a staff member.

A big thanks to Mike, our server manager and tech support for installing this feature.

To create/upload a resource:

• Click the Resources button in the menu.
• Click the Add Resource button.
• Select one of the categories.
• Add a title, tag line, and description. Avoid special characters such as "#" in the title, as they cause issues in some readers.
• You'll see two boxes labelled Attach Files; The first (upper) one is for attaching files such as PDF, Word and Excel files. The second (lower) one is to attach image files. Click the respective Attach Files box, and browse your computer or device to locate and upload.
• Scroll down and click Save.

You'll see a message saying that your resource is "Awaiting approval before being displayed publicly". A Moderator will review your resource and, if appropriate, will release it to the membership. If there's an issue, a Moderator will communicate with you.

Updating your own resource

Click on the title of the resource and click Post an update.

Updating the title or description - check the Post an update box, enter a revised title &/or description, click the Attach files box to add image files, then click Save.

Updating a file - check the Release a new version box, enter a version number (optional), click the upper Attach files box to upload the replacement file, and click Save.
