very beautiful. must be staying busy during Coachella music festival.
I've been there twice, most recently about a month ago and its really nice. Really got me thinking how an RV resort built on a former golf course would do up in the north east as 5 star RV resorts are very rare up there. Would it make enough money to coast along all winter when closed? Golf courses also close in the winter etc.

I used to drive past Coachella Lakes on my way to service our Indio transmitter and was impressed by the contrast between such a luxurious resort and the surrounding barren desert.

Everything's busy during the Coachella concerts, including several old motels along old Hwy 85 in Indio that are only open those weeks and are shuttered the rest of the year. My sister lived in nearby LaQuinta and one year several of her friends decided to go on vacation and rent out their houses for outrageous amounts during the concerts. When they returned they wound up spending most of their profits to clean up and repair the damage left by the partyers.

Yes its quite the contrast. There is also one of those class A only resorts beside it complete with the cassitas in each spot. The same company that owns Coachella Lakes has another one in Eherberg AZ right on the colorado river, called River Sands. I've been to that one 5-6 times and its also nice, same club house / pool / hot tub / laundry etc but no grass or trees.
