Could be anywhere. Originally from Ohio. Go Bucks!
Our original thermostat had problems that were progressively getting worse. I would have to push a button to change mode or set temperature numerous times for it to actually change. Doesn’t sound all that bad, but once it would change, it would usually overshoot the target and I’d have to push another button (numerous times) to get it zeroed in… often overshooting again.

Found this Micro Air replacement. The online ordering page simplified picking the right model and claimed it was a simple, plug n play installation; and it was.
Folks: THIS MAY BE THE SINGLE BEST IMPROVEMENT WE’VE MADE TO THIS COACH!

The old thermostat on right… you can see the plug it used behind it. New thermostat came with identical plug.. truly plug n play.
This thing will interface with their app on our phones via Bluetooth or WiFi. (So we can check on or make adjustments from anywhere in the world.)
You can set both “heat to” and “cool to” temperatures.. it will switch between as ambient temps call for. It automatically detected all four zones and each zone will automatically switch between A/C, heat pump, and furnace, as called for. (“Furnace” to it can be propane or hydronic.) You can set timed changes to settings for each zone. Once it’s on WiFi, it will display local weather conditions and warnings (might prove handy when we’re away)
You can adjust run time for each zone in its hysteresis settings.

All in all, Rosie’s HVAC operations have improved about 1000%. Here’s a screenshot of the app on my phone.

I never thought about using one in an RV. I cannot see the use for it in an RV. But I have these in my houses for more than 15 years:

It's handy on extra hot summer days in Auburn when I am leaving Reno to get there. I can have the Auburn house cooled off by the time I get there. Or Vice Versa.

But in an RV?

Well, there’s times when I wake at night and am too warm or cold and I can adjust the temp without getting up. There’s also times when on a cold, bright sunny day and Rosie is pointed south or west where the front (zone 1) is too hot but the bedroom (zone 3) is quite cool. This will allow different zones to operate in different modes (cool vs heat). (And it can do that without input from me. If zone 1 temp exceeds the “cool to” setting and zone 3 the “warm to” setting, it will do so on its own). Perhaps more Importantly is zone 4 to operate independently.. that’s the wet bay. Also, for pet owners (we’re not at this time), I can see this being a great tool for monitoring Fido’s environment.

Besides, how can you see it as a good thing for your homes but not your RV? Our RV IS our home and, like you, we travel away from home at times and, as you noted, to be able to monitor things from afar is a plus. But you can surely see some benefits in my first paragraph for non-full timers such as yourself, no?

OIC. My situation is a lot different.

My RVs are at my Auburn home, and I can easily enough check the outdoor weather there from here several different ways, including from the thermostat in the house (shows outside temps too). And since the propane and DC switch is off in my RVs, I would not be able to use it anyway without leaving the stuff on.

If you have a pet in RV, I certainly then can see the use for it when you're not there.

When I travel away from my RV while it's in use, it's never for long or far. And no pets.

BTW, can do the same with all Teslas also, but I never monitor mine (I normally keep my Smartphone off and in the car), but it is sometimes useful to leave the A/C on when I am grocery shopping on extremely hot days and stuff like that. But since no pets, I don't have any need to check the car's temperature when I am not in there.
