Hello forum!
new to this forum from Kingston Ontario
Our first TT was purchased in September 2011 and it was a Shasta Revere 21FBS
We quickly found out that the layout wasn't for us, it had a large U shaped dinette in the slide out. One could watch TV straight on and the other one, well, watch the TV watcher. It would have been fine for weekends but we tend to travel 5 days to 2 weeks a the time.
We didn't want a longer travel trailer, we want to keep storing and parking the unit at home.
Last summer, we got a 2013 Jayco Eagle HT 23.5 which we tow with a 2010 Dodge Ram 4X4 QC with the Hemi.
empty in brochure, 5900 lbs with hitch weigh at 1159lbs.
Got it weight with truck but had a heck of a time getting real numbers. The combo is so short that we just couldn't get the wheels on the plates correctly. I was given only 2 numbers, the truck's 4 wheels and then the trailer axles. Discussed with the attendant and she was able to divide the whole thing for me....
I have no idea how she came up with the numbers she did, but they add up.
Anyways, will go back on the scales soon see if I can get proper readings when I go and practice backing up at flying J
