We have the new model #18555000 self priming macerator pump for our RV. While using it, we hear gurgling from inside the tanks. I went inside and found our shower and bathroom sink drains puking up water. It's like the pump is running backwards and pressurizing the tank and lines. Any ideas?

Yes, it is possible to run a macerator pump backwards. I've done it when I hooked up the leads from the battery backwards. A little embarrassing, but an easy fix.
Yes. That is what we found once we removed the pump. It was wired and running backwards. We just switched the terminals and voilla, it worked like a charm. Now, I just need to switch the red and black wires that attach to the battery so it won't happen again. It must have been made in China!
